Come closer, adore me, don’t touch

Humans, animals and humanimals stroll in and around their houses. You're just a visitor in their world, a stranger, but you're immediately welcomed like you were one of them. You're taking a curious look inside a window - there is a living room and a casual chilling on the couch. Humans sitting on a table eating dinner, dogs sitting on another table eating dog food-dinner. Why is everyone naked? You want to grab a chair, sit down, and make yourself comfortable.
You’re wandering around. With your incredibly long legs you have trouble not stepping on your new friends. Your long arms are longing to lift them up, greet them with a hello and you might even want to play with them, for a while. But your adult instincts are holding you back, telling you that this is still an exhibition and you’re still just a visitor.
Laura Weiss (1999, Austria) is currently studying Fine Arts at University of Art and Design in Linz. Her main focus is on painting and sculptures, and she’s especially experimenting with painting as a medium and stretching its meaning in three-dimensionality. With the help of playful hybrid forms, the limitations of painting in the spatial dimension are being stretched.
The exhibition was part of zine and small press festival "SĀBRS"
